Ray Ruberg has been an active member of the Fire dept. for over 50 years,
since 1954. He owned and operated Ruberg's Variety Store in Moville.
He was available for most every call. Thank You, Ray, for leaving your
business to help others and for sharing so much of yourself with your
community. |

Fire Dept. Training classes are held on
the 3rd Monday and business meetings on the 4th Monday of every month.
Moville Fire responds not only to fires but also
accidents and rescue calls. They assist Moville Ambulance whenever their
assistance is needed. Most are certified or in training at the Firefighter 1
level and also at Firefighter 2.
Events / News
Moville Fire recently purchased DVD's called "
Fire Is" through a safety grant. Copies are located at the Woodbury County
Library, Fire Station, and Woodbury Central School.

Tough Truck / Demo Derby
Moville Fire Ambulance Rescue took delivery of a
new set of TNT Extrication Tools. These include Jaws of Life, Rams,
Cutters, and 2 reels to be connected to the rescue truck. They replace 20 year
old Hurst Jaws of Life, Cutters, Rams. They have been used at 6 or more vehicle
accidents since purchase.

The new Rescue Truck was put into service after
many hours of preparation. It will carry heavy rescue equipment as well as
medical first response. Below are some pictures of the dept. working on the new
unit.

Also utilized were the air bags, recip saws,
and other basic tools
